How long have you been in business?

John Bodner & Son Inc. has been in business for over 50 years. The Company was originally developed by John M. Bodner Sr. in the late 1950’s and has been serving Central Kentucky since that time.

Do you work by contracts?

A written proposal is provided each customer signed by John or Bryan Bodner. This document is also the contract for the work to be completed and includes the payment agreement.

How much do you charge for Inspections/Estimates?

Inspections and estimates are free for all customers.

If I had roof damage wouldn't I be able to see it from the ground?

Sometimes you can see the damage from the ground, but many times you can’t see the damage. Both wind and hail damage, which are the two most common types of insurance claims, can only be seen from the ground if the damage is severe. Having your roof inspected by an experienced professional is one way to be assured that your roof, which covers and protects your home, is in good condition.

Can I shingle over my existing roof?

Although placing shingles over the existing roof is permitted by building codes, this will significantly reduce the lifespan of your roof. Once covered with an additional layer of shingles your roof will retain more heat and moisture with in turn accelerates the deterioration of the shingles. If you elect to add an additional layer of shingles to your roof this will also add a significant amount of weight to your roof and will possibly cause your roof to bow between the rafters.

When are payments due?

Payment for the work competed is due immediately upon the completion of the job. John Bodner & Son Inc. will accept Cash, Check, and all major credit cards.

 

When can you do the job?

Once a contact has been signed between John Bodner & Son, Inc. and the customer an approximate start and completion date will be given. John Bodner & Son, Inc. will do everything in their power to keep to this schedule; however, weather delays are sometimes unavoidable.

How will you protect my property?

John Bodner & Son, Inc. will use tarps to protect all susceptible landscaping.

How is clean-up handled?

At the end of every workday and upon final completion of the job all debris will be removed. Magnets are used to collect nails from your driveway/yard/landscaping.

Do you inspect each job on completion?

Upon completion of the job John or Bryan Bodner (Owners) will inspect the job site to ensure that all work has been completed as agreed upon.

We have hail or wind damage to our roof from a storm, can you help?

Yes, we will complete repairs to your home immediately to avoid further damage when you choose John Bodner & Son, Inc. for your roofing project. If a new roof is needed we will give you a written proposal to help you with the insurance claims process.
